Forex, Gold, Oil, Bitcoin & NVIDIA – Key Price Levels and Trading Opportunities
Last week saw mixed market performance, with oil rising nearly 8%, the Nasdaq falling 4.5%, Bitcoin dropping 2.5%, and gold declining 0.5%. This week, traders will focus on Canada’s CPI, U.S. jobless claims, corporate earnings, and geopolitical developments for fresh opportunities across Forex, metals, energy, crypto and stocks.
Previous Week’s Market Recap
Forex: The U.S. dollar weakened over the week despite hotter-than-expected inflation data. The Dollar Index fell approximately 0.5%, while EUR/USD and GBP/USD strengthened. Changing Federal Reserve rate expectations and declining Treasury yields pressured the greenback. The Japanese yen also recovered slightly as investors assessed the Bank of Japan’s monetary policy outlook.
Metals: Gold experienced a volatile week, declining approximately 0.5% to around 4,160–4,190 per ounce. Higher inflation initially pressured prices, but a weaker dollar and falling Treasury yields supported a late recovery. Silver weakened more significantly, falling approximately 5% to around $57 per ounce.
Energy: Oil prices climbed sharply amid Middle East supply concerns. WTI crude rose approximately 7.7–8%, moving from around $91.83 to $98.88 per barrel, while prices briefly traded above $100. Brent crude also strengthened, trading above $104 per barrel by Friday as geopolitical tensions heightened supply concerns.
Crypto: Bitcoin struggled to maintain its upward momentum, falling approximately 2.5% from around $83,679 to $81,545. Prices fluctuated as investors responded to weakness in technology stocks and broader market uncertainty. Ethereum underperformed, declining approximately 4.9% over the week.
Stocks: NVIDIA and other technology-related shares faced selling pressure amid concerns over AI investment costs and financing. The S&P 500 declined approximately 2.1%, while the Nasdaq Composite fell around 4.5% amid weakness in technology stocks. In contrast, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained approximately 0.7%, reflecting mixed performance across the broader market.
Indices: U.S. equity indices delivered mixed results, with technology stocks leading the declines. The Nasdaq Composite was the weakest major index, falling around 4.5%, while the S&P 500 lost approximately 2.1%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced around 0.7%, showing greater resilience as investors reassessed inflation, interest-rate expectations and corporate earnings.

ENERGY : USOIL
USOIL will be driven by Middle East tensions, U.S. crude inventories and global supply. WTI recently traded around 100–101 per barrel, supported by an 8.6 million-barrel drop in U.S. crude stocks. Bitcoin is testing key resistance around 83,536.61, while price remains below the descending trendline, keeping the broader structure bearish. A break and hold above 83,536.61 could support a BUY toward 84,288.03, followed by 84,815.81, with SL at 82,579.44 and RR around 1:0.8 to the first target. A rejection from the resistance zone could trigger a SELL toward 79,815.27, with SL at 83,536.61 and RR around 1:2.2. A decisive break below 79,815.27 would strengthen the bearish outlook and signal potential further downside. Always apply risk management.
