In trading, however, it can cause you to abandon a perfectly good strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, imagine you plan to buy gold at $4,300, with a stop-loss at $4,280 and a target at $4,340.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Price reaches $4,300, but you remember your last losing trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You hesitate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Price moves to $4,310.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now you feel you are missing out, so you enter late at $4,310.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then the market pulls back to $4,290.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You panic and close the trade at a loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minutes later, gold moves to $4,340.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The problem wasn&#8217;t necessarily your analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fear changed your execution.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-where-does-trading-fear-come-from\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where Does Trading Fear Come From?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fear often comes from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Losing money you cannot afford to lose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remembering previous losses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trading with positions that are too large<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fear of being wrong<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trying to recover losses quickly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not trusting your trading strategy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Consider someone earning GHS 5,000 a month but risking GHS 2,000 on one trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every small price movement will feel enormous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But if that same trader risks only GHS 100, the emotional pressure is much lower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Good risk management doesn&#8217;t just protect your account\u2014it protects your mind.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-fear-can-also-make-you-exit-too-early\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fear Can Also Make You Exit Too Early<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fear isn&#8217;t only about entering trades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It can also make you leave winning trades too quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You buy gold and it moves into profit. You see GHS 300 profit and think:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;Let me take it before the market reverses.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You close the trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Five minutes later, the market continues to your original target, which would have given you GHS 1,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You didn&#8217;t lose money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But fear prevented you from following your plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-how-do-you-control-fear\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How Do You Control Fear?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You don&#8217;t need to eliminate fear completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You need to learn how to trade despite it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Try these simple rules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Risk less<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>If the amount you are risking keeps you awake at night, your position is probably too large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Have a plan before entering<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>Know your entry, stop-loss and target before clicking Buy or Sell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Accept that losses are part of trading<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>A losing trade doesn&#8217;t automatically mean you are a bad trader. Even a good strategy produces losing trades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Stop chasing the market<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>Missing one trade is better than entering a bad trade because of FOMO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5.
